Job Overview
St. Joseph’s Imaging is seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce detailed images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will ensure high-quality imaging procedures are performed efficiently, safely, and compassionately. Duties
- Perform MRI scans following established protocols and physician orders
- Screen patients for MRI safety and review medical histories
- Explain procedures clearly to help patients feel comfortable and at ease
- Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
- Adjust scanner settings to optimize image quality
- Administer contrast media and start IVs as required
- Monitor patients during exams and respond appropriately to needs or reactions
- Review images for technical quality and proper labeling
- Maintain accurate documentation while protecting patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support excellent patient care
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused MRI environment
What We’re Looking For:
- ARRT registered in MRI
- Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license
- A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
- Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
